The Match Commander in charge of the evening home match sent a statement to the club, of his view of events and an explanation for the police tactics used. The Crystal Palace board posted this statement on its website, which shows both a willingness to react to fan concerns, and an effort to diffuse any future situations that might occur between fans and the police.
