66,000 tickets will be distributed through partners’ initiatives, with a further two tickets going to each of the construction workers (54,000 in total). All of the initiatives are focused on one or more of four issues: health, education, environment and infrastructure (for the construction workers). The programme is aimed at making matches more accessible to those who may not ordinarily have the means to purchase tickets. Tickets will be given out as a reward or incentive for participating or contributing to human and social development activities.

Hintergrund
The Ticket Fund is an official initiative of the FIFA World Cup through which 120,000 tickets to first round matches at the tournament were made available, through various initiatives, to residents of South Africa.
